Chad Shafer
SVP, Credit and UnderwritingChad Shafer has over 20 years of experience in corporate and commercial real estate credit. Until joining our team, Chad spent his entire career in various roles at JPMorgan Chase & Co. (“JPM”), a financial services firm, from July 1998 to May 2020.
From November 2019 to May 2020, Chad served as Executive Director Wholesale Credit Risk Real Estate at JPM focusing on investment grade REITs, cruise lines, and hospitality companies. Between November 2017 and November 2019, Chad built the Real Estate Banking Portfolio Management Team, which managed in excess of a $25 billion loan portfolio. From May 2016 to November 2017, Chad led a team of over 40 credit risk professionals as Head of Credit Risk Key Relationship Group within the multifamily platform. Prior to May 2016, Chad spent time in various origination and credit risk roles.
Chad holds B.S. in Finance from Butler University.
